 Dino & Harry's

Dino and Harry's has been an institution in Hoboken for decades and one of my favorite restaurants in town.  The staff treat everyone like family and they definitely have the best steaks around.  I happen to also be a huge fan of their seafood selection, particularly the scallops.  If you have a corporate event, a romantic date or just dinner with friends, Dino And Harry's is the place to make an impression.  Simply the best restaurant around.  And they have a piano player on many nights too.  What more could you ask for!

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

Vintage details such as the 150 year old clock, the stain glass designs that crown the expansive windows, the tiled floor and tin ceiling transport the restaurant back in time. Yet there is an appealing familiarity about what looks like - and in fact is – the archetypal neighborhood saloon, albeit one that doubles as a fine dining establishment. The resounding masculinity of the majestic antique cherry bar gives way to the cozy nooks and crannies of the main dining area to which soaring ceilings lend a touch of grandeur.

There is a dignity, a sense of generations and memories having been made. Dino & Harry’s Steakhouse exemplifies the phrase, “If these walls could talk!”  In the hear of Hoboken’s thriving downtown, on the corner of 14th and Garden Streets, it is just a quick walk or taxi ride from the Path train and NJ Waterways terminal, and only 1.5 miles from the Lincoln Tunnel.

ABOUT THE HISTORY

The steakhouse has such a richly authentic 100-plus year old neighborhood institution look that Hollywood has often called. It served as the location for many films including ON THE WATERFRONT and CITY HALL, and a number of commercials (Amstel Lite, 3 Musketeers and Volvo to name a few.)

Ask your server to tell you the story of the bullet hole two feuding business partners left behind back in the day. Open since 1991 – Dino & Harry's Steakhouse on the Waterfront in Hoboken embodies a proud legacy and history.
